in Jharkhand, Congress MLA Irfan Ansari has announced his decision to halt campaigning within the state, citing discontent over his father Furkan Ansari not receiving a ticket from the Godda Lok Sabha constituency. Expressing his frustration, Ansari declared, "He has received an invitation from Tejashwi Yadav from Bihar, hence he will campaign in Bihar." Furkan Ansari, a former Congress MP from Godda, was denied a ticket, sparking dissent within the party.

Despite his grievances, Ansari pledged his loyalty to the Congress leadership, assuring state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, state president Rajesh Thakur, and legislature party leader Alamgir Alam that he would remain with the party. Attempts were made by senior party leaders to persuade Ansari, who reiterated his commitment to the party but maintained his decision to campaign in Bihar instead of Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, in a strategic move to ensure victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Champai Soren, State Congress President Rajesh Thakur, and Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam convened a meeting with prominent leaders, emphasizing the importance of rallying support for the INDIA alliance candidates across all 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The leaders resolved to mobilize party workers and engage with voters at the grassroots level to secure maximum votes for the alliance.
